Nommo Zuri Donald Receives Honorary Doctorate Degree From West Coast Bible College & Seminary

Fort Worth, Texas – Monday, March 3, 2025 – Nommo Zuri Donald is a prominent leader and has dedicated her life to serving economically disadvantaged populations in the healthcare industry will be conferred with an Honorary Doctorate in Humane Letters from West Coast Bible College & Seminary (WCBCS). This distinguished accolade will be formally bestowed upon her at a ceremonial event scheduled for June 7, 2025, accommodating both in-person and online attendees.

Dr. Phillip S. With over 30 years of experience in healthcare, Dr. Nommo Z. Donald is a distinguished leader in the field. She began her career in the customer service/claims department of a local HMO call center and later advanced to a Provider Relations Representative. After completing her undergraduate degree, she moved to Cleveland, Ohio, to continue working on the payor side of healthcare with United Healthcare. Her career includes roles as a Pharmaceutical Representative and a Regional Referral Manager for long-term care.

Nommo’s talents have led her to serve in administrative roles at some of the largest teaching and academic healthcare centers in the United States, including Emory Healthcare, Grady Healthcare System, and Texas Health Resources. She has been a strong advocate for community health, successfully implementing Executive Health Programs and Senior Health & Wellness Centers. Her dedication to serving economically disadvantaged and underserved populations is evident in her work with smaller, rural healthcare systems, including Catholic Healthcare Partners.

Her well-rounded experience and deep understanding of the healthcare lifecycle have propelled her to excel as a stellar C-Suite Executive for over a decade. Nommo holds a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from UT Arlington, Texas, and a Bachelor of Science from Wilberforce University. Dr. Donald also successfully completed the Senior Executive Program at the American College of Healthcare Executives. Throughout her career, she has been honored with numerous awards, including the Great Women of Texas, NAACP recognition for Health Care Leadership, and Top 50 Women Leaders of Wisconsin.

Currently, Dr. Donald serves as the Vice President of System Operations at Beloit Health System in Beloit, Wisconsin. She is known for her dedication to acute care hospitals and the communities they serve. Nommo is respected for her results-driven leadership and her commitment to fostering the growth of others. She is a trailblazer with a proven track record of driving positive, sustainable change and bringing out the best in others.

In addition to her role at Beloit Health System, Nommo is the Founder and CEO of Zuri Empowerment Group. This organization specializes in Cultural Transformation, offering services in Process Improvement, Diversity, Equity, and TRUE Inclusion, as well as soft skills training. She is also the author of Culture RX: The Prescription for Building a Resilient Healthcare Organization scheduled to be released on June 4, 2025.

Dr. Donald attributes her success to her faith, family, and mentors. She is passionate about love, the joy of being a mother, growth, and the empowerment of others. In her spare time, she dedicates herself to her children and family. She enjoys traveling, spending time with friends, and writing. Inspired by the words of Martin Luther King Jr., she believes, “If I can help somebody along the way, then her living will not be in vain.”
